"H.R.3543: Justice Is Not for Sale Act" has only 30 cosponsors, all Democrats. See the few representatives who are willing to alienate the powerful private prison industry for the sake of righteousness. Provisions include:

Bernie Sanders Introduces a Bill to Ban Private Prisons

Sanders says that America will "no longer have the world's largest prison population by the end of his first term," "decriminalize marijuana on a federal level," "ban private prisons from operating in the US," and "end monthly immigration detention quotas." ‪#‎feelthebern‬

Activists who say they care about human rights for prisoners will certainly want to support an end to private prison companies that capitalize off the suffering of prisoners and their families. Families of prisoners should support H.R.3543 and the officials who introduced the bill and co-sponsor it. All Americans should write to their representatives and urge their support to end slavery in America.

Americans should realize that "stop and frisk" and racial profiling were/are measures to arrest more people, particularly Blacks. This has particular impact for New York, which will soon hold its primary elections. Mass incarceration continues for several reasons: greed, racism, and eugenics (preventing population growth among certain classes of people). Once we eliminate government contracts with private prison companies, officials will be able to make decisions based on what is best for their constituents rather than how their decisions will impact their prison stocks. The only way to remove that conflict of interest is to eliminate private prison profiteering altogether.

Congratulations to the co-sponsors of "Justice Is Not for Sale Act." Thank you for not accepting campaign contributions from private prison companies or investing in America's 21st century slavery system.

They Lie Liberally to Keep Blacks Impoverished and Enslaved

With a nation filled with progressive, rich, white liberals and educated blacks in positions over government and in major corporations, why are African Americans still an underclass over 150 years after slavery ended? Is it because blacks are ignorant and lazy and criminal, or is it because white liberals and progressive blacks are FAKES? I submit to you that the issue is hypocrisy. White liberals continually bestow prestigious awards on Hesikiah Sistrunk, Esq., a traitor to black people, to preserve the false appearance that The Cochran Firm is an exemplary law firm, although it is really a CoIntelPro-like racketeering organization that is engaged in double-crossing its own clients to protect government agencies and major corporations from its clients' lawsuits. The Cochran Firm was sued repeatedly by its former partners and lawyers as well as a law firm that worked with the unethical Cochran Firm lawyers on a case. They sue for fraud and racism, and former clients entered numerous lawsuits for malpractice and fraud against The Cochran Firm. 

The Cochran Firm advertises itself as being a single law firm with 30 offices nationwide, but when former clients sue, The Cochran Firm disclaims any association between the law offices that bear its name. That is deliberate fraud on the entire world. Courts and consumer protection agencies do zero to stop The Cochran Firm, because they do most of the frauds against clients who bring suit against government agencies. White liberals and black hypocrites wish to maintain the illusion that The Cochran Firm works for its clients' interests so that the racketeers can continue to throw the fights regarding deaths by police, prisoner abuse, environmental racism and other offenses experienced by its mostly black clients.

The Cochran Firm even falsified its clients' signatures on a settlement agreement, and California courts REFUSED to hear the lawsuit the class of defrauded former clients entered against The Cochran Firm frauds. What reputable legal organizations would continue to give awards to lawyers who do such crimes against its clients on a regular basis? White liberals and black sell-outs do. See the article at the link above for details. KNOW that especially if you are an African American, you have NO FRIENDS in any major civil and human rights organizations in these United States. To believe that you do is evidence of MASS HYPNOSIS.

If you find that hard to believe, require that so-called liberal candidates show the public their stock portfolios to see their private prison stockholdings and stocks that perform well during military conflicts - the African Americans, too.

CBC Members Who Favor Mass Incarceration

Who in the Congressional Black Caucus voted for three mandatory minimums? Here’s a list: Reps. Joyce Beatty, Karen Bass, Sanford Bishop, G.K. Butterfield, Andre Carson, Lacy Clay, Emanuel Cleaver, Elijah Cummings, Chaka Fattah, Al Green, Alcee Hastings (introduced H.R.645 - the concentration camp bill - in 2009), Steve Horsford, Robin Kelly, Sheila Jackson Lee, Eddie Bernice Johnson, Greg Meeks, Don Payne, Charlie Rangel, Cedric Richmond, Terri Sewell, Marc Veasey and Frederica Wilson [Hank Johnson, Bobby Rush and Bennie Thompson did not vote, which is the same as voting for mandatory minimums. Most cases of mentally ill people killed by police are black and/or poor. Over 1.25 million mentally ill people are prisoners.

Who are the victims of mass incarceration?

Who are the victims of mass incarceration? Many are young people arrested for possession of marijuana and taxpayers who shell out roughly $50,000 per year to "save society" from each nonviolent youth with a joint. More than 1.6 million people were arrested for drug offenses in the US in 2010, according to the FBI's Uniform Crime Report 2010, and more than half of them were for marijuana. That's a drug arrest every 19 seconds, 24 hours a day, every day. The numbers suggest that despite "no more war on drugs" rhetoric emanating from Washington, the drug war juggernaut is rolling along on cruise control. Marijuana arrests in 2010 stood at 853,838 (Data from "Stop the Drug War.org" at the link below).

Blacks are four times more likely to endure marijuana arrests than whites, although marijuana usage is slightly higher among whites. Rev. Jessie Jackson and others plan a march on White House on June 17 over marijuana arrests.

Black and brown youths are probably 100 times more likely to endure warrantless searches of their persons than their white counterparts. The recent "stop and frisk" trial in New York revealed that police were instructed to intimidate minorities and were actually given arrest quotas. Taxpayers have shouldered the cost of arresting and incarcerating hundreds of thousands of people for the possession of marijuana, often in small quantities for personal use. Some national estimates put the annual cost of marijuana arrests above $10 billion, and low-level arrests for marijuana possession cost New York City alone $75 million in 2010.

In Georgia, Gov. Nathan Deal seeks to reduce incarceration of nonviolent drug offenders by diverting them to alternative programs, including drug courts, DUI courts, mental health courts, day reporting centers and expanded probation and treatment options. Other states should follow his lead to lessen the burden on taxpayers and avoid over-prosecution of marijuana users.

Besides the racism and over-prosecution inherent in America's "War on Drugs," many lives have been lost in the war, including police officers and potential defendants. New York police officers recently followed a teen home, entered by force, and shot him to death as he flushed a small amount of marijuana down the toilet. Can you picture that happening to a Caucasian child in an affluent neighborhood? It is time for everyone, especially African Americans and Latinos, to unite and denounce mass incarceration with Rev. Jackson, Dr. Boyce Watkins and Russell Simmons, along with 175 celebrities and public figures in their campaign to end the War on Drugs and Mass Incarceration.  You can learn more at this link. 

The real shame is that the criminal justice system is sometimes used to penalize people for noncriminal behavior. For example, a judge recently responded to an assault victim by demanding sex in exchange for 'legal favors.' She filed a complaint, and he sent cops to plant meth in her car. If the judge had not retaliated against the woman for rejecting his sexual advances, neither he nor the police officers would be in trouble today.
